Make Your Own Picture Book Workshop

The workshops held during this day will greatly assist librarians and teachers to prepare their students for children’s picture book competitions and curriculum programmes.  Workshops will explore and give practical activities to develop such areas as: Genres of picture books, Ideas to get students writing, Editing, Book Covers, Book Components, Planning – storyboards, dummy books, page layout, illustration techniques and mediums.

 

Friday 6 March, 9:00am - 2:30pm

After school workshop - Make Your Own Picture/Story with Elaine Forrestal

A good picture book is a fascinating collaboration between writer, illustrator, reader and listener.  Elaine Forrestal will help you explore some of the techniques that can be used to tell a story, in words and pictures.  Add a dash of your own imagination and have lots of fun creating your own picture/story in this two hour hands-on workshop.

 

Suitable 5 to 8 years old       Maximum: 30 places       Cost: $15.40 (inc GST) all materials provided
