Victorian Government pencils in $10.4m for literary Melbourne

The Victorian Government has committed $10.4m to raising Melbourne's profile as a home for writers and writing.

More than $3 million will go towards fitting out the new Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas. A further $7.1 million will be spent on developing a public program of events and activities for the centre.
