CAL Scribe Fiction Prize

The 2012 Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) Scribe Fiction Prize has been won by Amy Espeseth for her manuscript Trouble Telling the Weather.

Espeseth will receive a cash prize of $15,000 and a book contract with Scribe. Her manuscript was selected from a shortlist of three, which also included Manly by Andrew Lindsay and The Reflection by Hugo Wicken.

The 2012 prize was judged by Blanche Clark, books editor at the Herald Sun, Jon Page, president of the Australian Booksellers Association, and Aviva Tuffield, associate fiction publisher at Scribe.

The CAL Scribe Fiction Prize was launched in 2009 and recognises an unpublished manuscript by an Australian writer aged 35 and over.
