A Sensory Food Writing Workshop with Dr Felicity Newman

Nothing has the power to evoke the past, to transcend the mundane and to transport us as thoroughly as food does. Food engages all the senses and makes nonsense of that old chestnut that we should eat only in order to live. Food and the events it accompanies enables life, is life.
Born in multi-culinary South Africa and raised in deliciously Jewish Bondi, Dr Felicity Newman worked extensively in the hospitality industry before returning to writing, and study. She has written restaurant reviews for The Fremantle Herald and Perth Woman and is a regular contributor to WA food/life magazine Spice. She also writes restaurant profiles for Sensis website City Search and is currently working on her culinary memoir. Food has played the decisive role in a life torn
between keyboard and kitchen.
Whether your interest is in memoir, food reviewing, travel writing or literary fiction, this workshop will open you to new creative possibilities within yourself and the food writing genre.
Felicity's workshop proved to be one of the most popular at KSP in 2007 and places are expected to fill quickly. Contact Melissa at KSP to secure yours on 9294 1872 or kspf@iinet.net.au $25 Members, $40 Non-members
