The Cottesloe Peppermint Grove Mosman Park Library will be hosting a meet and hear the author evening with Professor Geoffrey Bolton 6pm Wednesday 29th October 2008. This event is sponsored by writingWA.
Professor Geoffrey Bolton, an eminent historian and author of 13 books will be speaking at the library about his latest publication Land of vision and mirage : Western Australia since 1826. This book provides a comprehensive short history of the state that spans from 1826 to the present day mining boom.
Other books written by Geoffrey Bolton include Alexander Forrest his life and times., Claremont : a history., Daphne Street., Edmund Barton., A fine country to starve in., May it please Your Honour : a history of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, 1861-2005., Spoils and spoilers : a history of Australians shaping their environment.
