Writers on the Road 2008

Each year writingWA, with additional funding from Country Arts WA and sponsorship from Healthway, coordinates a series of tours by professional writers to regional and remote communities throughout WA. In building Writers on the Road regional tours, writingWA prioritises delivery of activities within schools. Thereafter we also seek to incorporate additional community-based activities where possible and appropriate.

Writers on the Road tours for 2008 will include

• Derek Nannup (Indigenous performance writer and director) in a two week tour of the Pilbara,
• Mark Greenwood (children's picture book author) in a one week tour of the Goldfields and
• Ara Jansen (journalist) in a two week tour of the Wheatbelt.
